Contributions welcomed for new general issue
Contributions are welcomed for a new general issue of the journal, to be published later this year.
AJVS welcomes good, new, interesting work on any topic relating to Victorian Studies in the broadest sense. That is, taking 'Victorian' loosely as a conceptual rather than historical term to include the long nineteenth century and virtually no geographical boundaries, but with a focus on English-language texts and sources, and with an address to readers that assumes a high level of familiarity with nineteenth-century studies in the Humanities. Areas of study include cultural history, print culture, visual and creative arts, architecture design and heritage, screen and theatre studies, economic, scientific, social and medical history, and more.
Victorian Studies is a broad church, and we assume a broad readership, with a variety of disciplinary, theoretical, methodological, geographical and thematic interests. AJVS is an open-access journal.
