Abstract
The Journal has now been in existence since 1993, so as we reach the eleventh issuesome form of celebration seems in order, particularly since one of the long-term aims ofthe Society, promoting the appointment of a professor to the Chair in Celtic studies, should shortly be realised. The Geoffrey Ferrow Prize continues to be awarded at theUniversity of Sydney and Celtic language teaching there struggles on. Filling the chairshould help here.
The University of Sydney acknowledges that its campuses and facilities sit on the ancestral lands of Aboriginal and
Torres Strait Islander peoples, who have for thousands of generations exchanged knowledge for the benefit of all.
