Abstract

The primary focus of this paper is the diachronic transition of the narrative subject, as it emerges in the prose works of Margarita Karapanou, Cassandra and the wolf (1976) and Life is wildly impossible (2008). The paper’s chief objective is to interpret and showcase Karapanou’s narrative techniques, beginning from the grotesque style of Cassandra and the wolf and ending with the self-destructive (and, at the same time, self-referential) authorial subject of the diary entries of her final novel Life is wildly impossible
