The Memory of the Dissident/Divergent Left: The Memoirs of A. Stinas
Abstract
Our principal purpose with this paper is to analyse the discourse of a socio-political group's persecuted memory, in our case that belonging to a group within the Left Opposition to the Communist Party of Greece (CPG).1 Through the "writings" of A. Stinas,Z it is our aim to highlight the processes of reconstructing the past as well as its effectiveness, and also to determine the particular characteristics which distinguish it from the discourse of "official historiography" as a scientific field of study.
