Abstract
This paper will report Paul Tillich's understanding of expressive art as being a vehicle for revelation in contemporary culture and the influence of that view on the painting of 'Seven Works for the Church';the hanging in the Uniting Church at Lakeside Road, Eastwood, Australia of those works and response to the works. The paper will support the view that abstract expressive art is significant religious art in the present.
