Abstract

The paper argues that Hanrahan, rather than taking her identity from the landscape that was presented to her by the dominant culture, actually created, or at least shaped, a landscape in which she would be at home. It refers to The Scent of Eucalyptus and Hanrahan's prints and paintings.
