Sacred Places and the Sense of Belonging

Abstract

The sacred place, if it has not yet become an archaic dream, returns the pilgrim to a sense of community. To situate my poems in a Landscape is to rescue my own tenuous connections with the histories of both my father and my mother. To find the place that brings the spirits of the past back from death and neglect is a kind of return to the birthplace of ancestry.
