Author Biography

  • Jill Haley

    Jill Haley is a photograph historian whose research focuses on nineteenth-century New Zealand,  with a particular interest in women’s engagement with photography and their contributions to the profession. She has held a number of positions in heritage institutions in New Zealand, including Curator, Human History,  at Canterbury Museum in Christchurch,  and Archivist at Toitū Otago Settlers Museum in Dunedin. She is currently Archivist at the Dunedin City Council.
