    Susie Steinbach is a Professor of History at Hamline University, Saint Paul, Minnesota. She works on the social, cultural, and gender history of the long nineteenth century, and is the author of the textbook Understanding the Victorians: Politics, Culture and Society in Nineteenth-Century Britain (2023).
