Read more about 2023 JASAL End-of-Year News and ThanksJASAL (ISSN 1833-6027) is a fully peer-reviewed journal of scholarship on Australian Literature, published by the Association for the Study of Australian Literature (ASAL). We publish two issues each year, including one annual guest-edited conference issue, with the capacity to publish occassional further guest edited issues as proposed. JASAL welcomes essays that consider Australian literature in all its forms (fictional, critical, print, filmic, and so on) and in terms of its socio-political and cultural contexts. We also encourage essays that consider the contexts of Austrailan literature in classrooms, in the world, and in production. We encourage readers to become ASAL members and to visit the ASAL website for information about conferences and other activities. The Managing Editors of JASAL are Victoria Kuttainen and Robert Clarke.
