New JASAL Reviews Editors

We are pleased to announce that Cheryl Taylor and Lianda Burrows have taken over as Reviews Editors of JASAL! 

Before retiring in 2006, Cheryl Taylor lectured in English and other literatures at James Cook University in Townsville. From 2008 to 2016 she lectured as an adjunct research fellow in the School of Humanities at Griffith University. She has edited books and published articles on Middle English, Medieval Latin and Australian literature, and is co-founder of the AustLit subset, Writing the Tropical North. In 2017 she edited Thea Astley: Selected Poems for the University of Queensland Press. She is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor in the College of Arts, Society and Education at James Cook University.

Lianda Burrows is a PhD candidate at James Cook University on the land of the Bindal and Wulgurukaba people. Her PhD thesis Reappraising the Land: Patrick White’s Landscape Legacy and its Afterlives considers the ecological vision of White and its implications for Australian literature. Her research interests are largely interdisciplinary and include the medical humanities and creative non-fiction.
