May Gibbs's Suburban Space
Abstract
The paper argues that May Gibbs's Complete Adventures of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie engages not just with the myths that appeal to children but also with a living culture--an urban culture of a particular time and place--and with a landscape which is able to incorporate modernity unproblematically.
Keywords
