Author Biographies

  • Catherine Noske, University of Western Australia

    Catherine Noske is a senior lecturer in creative writing and Associate Editor for Westerly Magazine at the University of Western Australia. Her short-form work is widely published in journals and magazines. She has been awarded the A.D. Hope Prize and twice the Elyne Mitchell Prize for Rural Women Writers. The Salt Madonna (Picador, 2020), her debut novel, was shortlisted in the 2021 WA Premier's Book Awards.

    Lisa Collyer is a poet and educator in Boorloo. She is the author of the poetry collection How To Order Eggs Sunny Side Up, which was short-listed for The Dorothy Hewett Award in 2022 and is published with Gazebo Book’s poetry imprint, Life Before Man. She is widely published in WesterlyRabbitCorditeAustralian Poetry AnthologySalt Bush ReviewScience Write Now and more. She was a recent inspire writer in residence for The National Trust of W.A.
