  • Louise Henry, James Cook University

    Louise Henry is a resident of Far North Queensland and grew up surrounded by the rainforest and cane fields of the area. She has a PhD in Creative Writing from James Cook University, “Once there was a time when…Reimagining regional women’s lives using historical fiction, family stories and artefacts”. Louise has had two short stories published, “Rain in the Creek” in Social Alternatives and “The Difference Between Us” in Sudo. She also reviewed “The Fiction of Thea Astley, Cambria Australian Literature” by Susan Sheridan in Queensland Review, and had an article, “A Perspective from the Periphery: Re-imagining Regional North Queensland Women’s Stories Using Historical Fiction”, published in a Special Issue of TEXT.
