Abstract
An analysis model is developed with a twofold aim: To analyze the formulations of a composed modelling task with respect to involved competencies and thereby obtain input to improve it, and to analyze and compare solutions to the task in order to extract information about which competencies that the task solver has. The model is presented as a two-dimensional task specific table, in which both a cognitive process dimension and a knowledge dimension are represented. It is used to analyze two different solutions to a given modelling task and through the obtained analysis tables, it is argued how both research aims may be met.
